For years, I worked in estate agents and social housing, witnessing first hand the frustration and neglect that homeowners and commercial property owners faced due to poor maintenance. Broken boilers left families in the cold, leaky roofs caused costly damage, and unreliable contractors left jobs half-finished. As a Junior Contracts Manager, my role was to shadow senior leaders and ensure we hired the right companies to carry out repairs—but I quickly realised that many tradesmen were overstretched, underpaid, and often unable to keep up with demand.

That’s when I started building something different. I began forming relationships with skilled tradesmen across different fields—plumbers, electricians, carpenters, and more—creating a tight-knit community of professionals who helped each other out with side jobs. Mostly in East London and Essex. What started as casual collaborations soon grew into a reliable network, with word-of-mouth recommendations bringing in more and more work. For over three years, I managed this as a passion project—juggling my full-time role in social housing while coordinating jobs, solving problems, and ensuring quality workmanship.

Then, one day, a customer asked me: “Is this just a hobby, or do you actually have an actual company?”

That question stuck with me. Because the truth was, this was never just a side hustle—it was a lifelong commitment to fixing the flaws I’d seen in the industries. So, on a cold, rainy night in London, I made the decision: it was time to turn this vision into something official.
